Act questions: Photography
- With the photography portion, I was inspired by fluorescent lighting and contrasted/saturated colors that you see in many modern designs and editorials. I wanted to take everyday images and make them pop through color and exposure adjustments. Editing the images to be as contrasted and vibrant as they are caused for the center point of each photo to appear more dimensional.
- The overall topic I focused on for these photographs was not necessarily on the subject matter, but more so on color and contrast. I compiled images that do not exactly relate to each other subject wise, but do have similar values when it comes to hue and exposure.
- Some generalizations and conclusions I have made while taking the photographs was that angles are extremely important, especially when taking pictures that are appealing to the eye. Conclusions I made while editing was that highlights and saturation should be carefully used when editing because too much tends to look over done.
- The main idea for the photography project was to experiment how specific values (i.e. contrast, saturation, hue, highlights, etc) affect the overall image.
- Struggles that I overcame with taking the photos was being able to get the right angles for the specific center point of the shots. Struggles I had with editing were mostly with trial and error, and figuring out which specific details I should focus on when changing the value of the original photos. Overall, I am happy with the results of this portion of the project and the process of it has made editing photography become more of an interest for me.
